Flight Lieutenant Harita Kaur Deol was an Indian female pilot. Harita Deol was in the Indian Air Force. She was the first woman pilot (pilot) in the country to fly solo in the Indian Air Force.
Harita Deol was born on 25 December 1972 in a Sikh family in Punjab, Chandigarh, (India). His full name was Harita Kaur Deol.
Harita Deol died on 24 December 1996 in Bukkapuram, Prakasam, Andhra Pradesh near Nellore, India at the age of 24 due to the Indian Air Force's Aero plane crash.
After completing his education from Chandigarh, he joined the Air Force Academy for initial training, after training here, he received further training at the Airlift Course Training Establishment (ALFTE) at Yelahanka Air Force Station, Dindigul near Hyderabad.
Harita Deol is a Sikh family from Chandigarh, in 1993, she became one of the first seven women cadets in the Air Force as Short Service Commission (SSC) officers. This marked an important stage in the training of women as transport pilots in India. After initial training at the Air Force Academy at Dundigul near Hyderabad, he received further training at the Air Lift Forces Training Establishment (ALFTE) at Yelahanka Air Force Station. When the Air Force advertised for eight vacancies for women pilots in 1992, there were 20,000 applicants across the country. One of them was Harita Deol. At that time, he was only 22 years old. On this day, Harita Deol created a new history as the first Indian woman pilot flying alone. Along with this, Harita Deol also marked an important stage for the training of women in India as transport pilots.
