Kadambini started her education at Banga Mahila Vidyalaya and in 1878 became the first woman to enter the Calcutta Entrance Examination at Bethuin School (founded by Bethune). Not only this, Kadambini Ganguly also has the pride of the woman who gave the first speech at the session of the Indian National Congress.

Kadambini Ganguly was born on 18 July 1861 in Bhagalpur, Bihar (India). His father's name was Brijkishore Basu. His father was working as headmaster in Bhagalpur school and he was also a Brahmo reformer. She was the only child of her parents.
Kadambini Ganguly died on 3 October 1923 (age 63) in Calcutta (present-day Kolkata).
Kadambini started her education at Banga Mahila Vidyalaya and while in 1878 Bethune School (founded by Bethune) became the first woman to pass the entrance examination of the University of Calcutta. It was partly in recognition of his efforts that Bethune College first introduced FA (First Arts), and then graduate courses in 1883. He and Chandramukhi Basu graduated first from Bethune College, and in the process graduated for the first time in the country.
She was the first female graduate of India and the first female physician. Kadambini was India's first working mom. In 1893, he traveled to Edinburgh and qualified as LRCP (Edinburgh), LRCS (Glasgow) and GFPS (Dublin).
