Meaning of dress:
The dress code is the written rule of wearing clothes (which may differ from society to society, although the western style is generally accepted) as an aspect of a person's physical appearance. Clothing, like other aspects of a human's physical appearance, has social significance. A dress code consists of implicit rules or cues that indicate a person's clothing and the message being conveyed by the way they are worn.
The message may communicate a person's gender, income, occupation and social class, political and ethnic affiliation, his or her attitude and outlook on comfort, fashion, traditions, expression, marital status, and so on. Clothing can also communicate other social messages, including the statement or assertion of personal or cultural identity, the establishment, maintenance or disregard of social group standards, and the appreciation of comfort and functionality.
Importance of dress:
At present, character can be assessed by knowing about your personality just by looking at your dress. Nowadays, the knowledge of which religion you belong to is also known just by looking at your dress. Many such examples can be given such as: If a person is wearing a white kurta and also wearing a white cap on his head, then it shows that he is a leader or a social worker. Apart from this, if a person is wearing decent clothes like coat pants, then it can be inferred that he is a big officer or a person working in a high position in some field.
On this basis, we can say that a person is identified by dress. Dress has great importance in our life. Clothing is not just to cover the body. It protects us from the ravages of the weather. The identity of a man is also known by his dress. His dress shows his status, position and place in the society. Dress enhances the personality of a man. When we meet someone, we are first impressed by his dress and get an idea of his personality. The more impressive the dress, the more impressed people will be.
