Every year 'Hindi Diwas' is celebrated on the 14th of September all over the country. On this day Hindi competitions are organized in the government departments of the country. Along with this, Hindi Promotion Week is organized. Hindi competitions are also organized in schools.
Hindi Day: India History
Hindi is the most spoken language in India and has the status of official language. After the Independence of India, Hindi was given the status of official language in the Constituent Assembly on 14 September 1949. Since 1953 on the request of Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti, 14 September is celebrated as Hindi Diwas every year to tell the importance of Hindi and to spread it.
In the Hindi Sahitya Sammelan in 1918, the Father of the Nation of India, Mahatma Gandhi took the initiative to make Hindi the national language. On this, in the year 1949, after much deliberation on the question of the official language of independent India, this decision was taken on 14 September 1949, which has been told in Section 343(1) of Chapter 17 of the Constitution of India that the official language of the nation is Hindi. And the script will be Devanagari. Because this decision was taken on 14th September. For this reason this day was declared as Hindi Diwas.

Its main objective is to make people aware once in a year that unless they use Hindi fully, Hindi language cannot develop. On this day, it is advised to use Hindi in place of English in all government offices. Importance of Hindi Language:
Today, India-language Hindi is on the way to become world-language in future. The President of America, the most powerful nation in the world, has warned Americans to learn Hindi on many occasions, saying that - "Without learning Hindi, it will not work in the future".
This advice is not without reason. India is being known all over the world as an emerging world power. Sanskrit and Hindi based on it have been found most suitable in terms of sending messages to other civilizations in space through phonics and telecommunication waves.

Many programs take place during Hindi Diwas. On this day, students are taught to respect Hindi and use Hindi in daily practice.
In which Hindi essay writing, debate, Hindi typing competition etc. are held. Bhasha Samman has been started to inspire people towards Hindi on Hindi Day.
This honor will be given every year to such a personality of the country who has made a special contribution for the use and upliftment of Hindi language among the people. For this, one lakh one thousand rupees are given as an honor. Official language week or Hindi week is celebrated for one week from Hindi day on 14th September.
