Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad is an Indian student organization. The purpose of which is the interest of the student and the interest of the nation. The slogan of the Vidyarthi Parishad is - Knowledge, Modesty and Ekta. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, the world's largest student organization, has always been contributing to the national interest and student interest for the last 67 years. Along with this, from time to time, keeping the young generation alert in the national interest, it has also been made aware of its obligations towards the country.
When was the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad established?
Although ABVP was established in 1948 but it was formally established on 09 July 1949 when it was registered. It was founded by a group of students and teachers. In its initial phase, its activity was nominal but after the appointment of Professor Yashwantrao Kelkar of Mumbai as its chief convener in 1958, its activity increased significantly and it started expanding across the country. Therefore, Prof. Yashwantrao Kelkar is considered the real founding member.
