Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the great leader who gave the Constitution to India, was born on 14 April 1891 in a small village in Mhow Cantonment, Madhya Pradesh. Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar's father's name was Ramji Maloji Sakpal and mother's name was Bhimabai. Born as the fourteenth child of his parents, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was a born genius. Bhimrao Ambedkar is recognized as a world-class jurist, Dalit political leader and the main architect of the Indian Constitution. Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar's personal library "Rajgriha" had more than 50,000 books and was the largest private library in the world. He was posthumously awarded India's highest civilian honor 'Bharat Ratna' by the Government of India in the year 1990.
