India Energy Week
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 'India Energy Week 2023' in Karnataka's capital Bengaluru with an aim to portray India's growing power as the center of energy transformation. During this, he introduced 'E20' fuel, a mixture of 20 percent ethanol in petrol. Apart from this, the Prime Minister also unveiled the twin-cooktop model of the solar cooking system developed by Indian Oil at the India Energy Week 2023 event. As the first major event under India's G20 Presidency, India Energy Week follows Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pledge at COP26 to make India net-zero emissions by 2070.
India Energy Week is the only and international energy event, supported at the highest level by the Government of India with the participation of all Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), and officially supported by the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI). India is projected to see the largest increase in energy demand of any country over the next two decades, as its economy continues to grow and create opportunities for its people and the global energy value chain. India's energy transition will play an important role in global energy markets.

- Discovery and production of household items will be promoted under self-reliant India.
- Supply preference and innovation will also be encouraged.
- To promote green energy, sources of bio fuel, ethanol and solar energy have to be increased.
- Decarbonization work will also be done through electric vehicles and hydrogen.
