One Week One Lab programme
Science and Technology Minister Dr Jitendra Singh launches One Week One Lab program in New Delhi. It will continue from September 11 to September 16. During the programme, each of the 37 Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, CSIR laboratories spread across the country will showcase their research results and achievements. The program will open its doors to the public and invite them to visit its departments and see its academic and research initiatives.
It will also include lectures, workshops, puppet shows, Vigyan Kavi Sammelan, quizzes and exhibitions on various topics related to science. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Singh said, during the event each CSIR laboratory will showcase its unique ideas and technological breakthroughs before the people of the country. He said that in future, on the lines of One Week-One Lab, CSIR will take the opportunity to spread the contribution of its units to the general public through the 'One Month One Theme' campaign. This nationwide science awareness campaign – One Week One Lab, which started from 6 January 2023, will culminate in a festival on the foundation day of CSIR i.e. 26 September.
