Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated India's first 'International Convention and Expo Centre' (IICC) in Dwarka, New Delhi on September 17. The convention center is spread over an area of over 8.9 lakh square meters and is one of the largest MICE venues in the world. Yashobhoomi has a luxurious convention centre, several exhibition halls and other facilities.
Specialties of Yashobhoomi Convention Center
- Yashobhoomi is the world's largest exhibition hall, which has been developed at a cost of Rs 5400 crore. These exhibition halls, spread over 1.07 lakh square metres, will be used to host exhibitions, trade fairs and business events.
- These are connected by a grand gallery, which is uniquely designed with a copper roof. Various windows installed in this ceiling filter the light and make the entire atmosphere attractive.
- The gallery will have various support areas like media room, VVIP lounge, visitor information centre, ticketing etc. Its attractive flooring will attract the attention of any visitor.
- This convention center consists of 15 convention halls including the Main Auditorium, Grand Ballroom and 13 meeting halls, with a total capacity of 11,000 delegates. The country's largest LED screen will be installed in the convention center.
- The main auditorium of the convention center has a seating capacity of approximately 6,000 guests. There will be wooden flooring in the auditorium. Automatic chairs will also be installed. Along with this, sound panels will be installed on the walls of the auditorium, which will provide a world-class experience to the visitors.
- 3000 cars can be parked here simultaneously. Besides, the drainage water of the center can also be reused. Also there is facility of rain water harvesting here.
- Yashobhoomi sets a technological benchmark with the largest LED media aspect in the country, enhancing the visual experience and communication.
