FIFA Women's World Cup 2023
The FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 was the ninth edition of the quadrennial international women's football championship, contested by women's national teams and organized by FIFA. The championship ran from 20 July to 20 August 2023. The tournament was hosted jointly by Australia and New Zealand. It was the first FIFA Women's World Cup with more than one host nation, as well as the first World Cup to be held in multiple confederations, as Australia is in the Asian confederation, while New Zealand is in the Asian confederation.
The 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup was played in Sydney, in which Spain won the final by defeating England 1–0. It was Spain's first title, as well as the first European nation to win it since 2007. Spain became the second country after Germany to win both the Men's and Women's World Cups in the 2003 edition. In addition, Spain became the first country to host the FIFA Women's Under-17, Under-20 and Senior World Cups simultaneously.

Japanese player Hinata Miyazawa won the Golden Boot after scoring five goals throughout the tournament. Spanish player Etana Bonmati was named best player of the tournament, winning the Golden Ball, while Bonmati's teammate Salma Parluello was awarded the young player award. England goalkeeper Mary Earps won the Golden Glove, awarded to the best goalkeeper of the tournament.

The FIFA Women's World Cup is a professional association football (soccer) tournament contested by senior women's national football teams, organized by FIFA. Held every four years and one year after the men's World Cup, the tournament was first played in China in 1991, and has been expanded to 32 teams after the 2023 edition. The tournament consists of eight round-robin groups, followed by a knockout round of 16 teams. The total prize pool won in this game is US$110 million, which is US$80 million more than the prize pool of the previous tournament.
