Airtel Payments Bank has become the first Indian bank to launch an eco-friendly debit card for both new and existing savings account customers. Environmental Impact of Debit Card:-
The debit cards will come in R-PVC material, which is a certified eco-friendly material. With the adoption of this eco-friendly material, Airtel Payments Bank will make a significant impact on environmental protection. Each production batch of 50,000 cards will result in a reduction of 350 kg of carbon emissions compared to conventional PVC cards commonly used in the market.
In addition, the production of R-PVC cards will reduce hydrocarbon consumption by 43%, playing a role in preventing petroleum use during the manufacturing process. The bank's visionary approach will also contribute to water conservation, thereby saving an impressive 6.6 million liters of water per batch of R-PVC cards.

Airtel Payments Bank is coming up with two cards under the Classic variant - Personalized Classic Card and Insta Classic Card. Customers can order a personalized card from the Airtel Thanks app, while the InstaCard will be available at select neighborhood banking points by the end of the current quarter. The card comes with rewards including e-commerce benefits up to Rs 10,000 and free One Dine across major cities in India.
