National Training Conference 2023
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first National Training Convention at the International Exhibition and Convention Center in New Delhi. The aim of the conclave was to strengthen the training infrastructure for civil servants across the country. It was hosted by the Capacity Building Commission. Under the guidance of this vision, the National Program for Capacity Building of Administrative Services (NPCSCB) - 'Mission Karmayogi' was launched, to create an administrative service commensurate with the needs of the future, with the right attitude, skills and knowledge. This conference is another beginning in this direction.
More than 1,500 delegates from various training institutes including Central Training Institutes, State Administrative Training Institutes, Zonal and Regional Training Institutes and Research Institutes participated in the Conclave. Civil servants from central government departments, state governments and local governments as well as experts from the private sector participated in the deliberations.
The National Training Conference is a part of the Government's efforts to learn and provide better services. The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of capacity building, eliminating silos and scaling up service. The conclave will promote exchange of ideas, identify challenges being faced and opportunities available and come up with actionable solutions and formulate a comprehensive strategy for capacity building.
The conference had eight panel discussions, each on key topics related to Administrative Services Training Institutes; Such as faculty development, training impact assessment and content digitalisation.
