Inauguration of Library Festival 2023
President Draupadi Murmu inaugurated the Library Festival at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. It is organized by the Ministry of Culture. The two-day festival features renowned libraries from around the world. Its main objective is to initiate a discussion on modernization and digitization of libraries in India.

The event is in line with the Prime Minister's vision to promote the development and digitization of libraries and promote the reading culture in the country. Its objective is to formulate action oriented policies for the development of model libraries up to the village and community level in the country.
