Why is Christmas Celebrated

Christmas is the most important festival of the people of Christianity, which is celebrated every year on 25 December as the birthday of Lord Jesus. People of Christian religion celebrate Christmas festival from 24 December, a day before Christmas. On the midnight of 24th December, people go to the church and special worship is done here. People of Christian religion remember their Lord Jesus Christ. After this they wish each other a Merry Christmas and distribute gifts.

How is Christmas celebrated?

• Tableaux of Jesus Christ are taken out in the procession. Apart from this, gifts are also given to each other on this day and sweets are also distributed.
• On the occasion of Christmas, the work of decorating the Christmas tree is done by people according to their wishes in their office or their home, in which colorful balls, stars and gifts are placed, as well as lighting arrangements are also made in the Christmas tree. 
• At midnight, many churches hold extraordinary candlelight services. Santa Claus is an admired personality in the Christmas program who distributes gifts to children.
• People prepare many cakes and treats. Children used to celebrate this festival with full enthusiasm and were excited for the gifts which were given by parents, friends.
