Zuari Bridge
Zuari Bridge with a span of 1,225 meters (4,019 ft) is the second longest cable-stayed eight-lane bridge in India spanning North Goa and South Goa. It was built by Dilip Buildcon. It carries NH 66 between the villages of Agakam and Cortalim on the tidal stretch of Zuari river. The bridge will be used as an expressway between Panaji and Margao over Zuari river. The main bridge over Zuari river is 640 meters long. And the approach roads to this bridge cover a distance of over 13 km, starting near Bambolim Cross in North Goa and ending near Birla Cross in South Goa.
- Zuari Bridge has eight lanes (4+4). It has a double carriageway of 27 m and a median of 10.7 m.
- It is the second longest and widest cable-stayed bridge in India, behind the Bandra-Worli Sea Link.
- The right side (4-lane corridor) of the bridge was opened for vehicular traffic.
